Eventful Anecdote of Magento Live, India 2017 – #MLIN17
The Indian Magento community witnessed the maiden Magento Live event, in the city of Bengaluru, often recognized as India’s Silicon Valley on the 2nd May 2017. It was a moment of pride for Krish Technolabs, as 4 of our professionals participated in it on company’s behalf. The weather of the city as well as the venue of the event, The Leela Palace Hotel, seemed like a delight to all the attendees who had a great time digging in deep insights from such an engrossing event.
Bracing the occasion with their presence were all the senior professional from the Global Magento team. Right from Mark Lavelle, CEO, Magento commerce, Mark Lenhard, SVP, Strategy & Growth to Jason Woosley, SVP, Technology & Product and Anupam Pahuja, MD, Pay Pal India. The lineup also consisted of other senior professionals of Magento Commerce. This showed the faith of the company in the Indian community and its growing performance in relation with Magento.
Mark Lavelle gave a head start to the event while sporting himself in an Indian attire. His talk consisted of statistics and growth projections about APAC ecommerce, the dominance of mobile commerce in APAC market, the Magento economy and future goals being laid out.
For Krish Technolabs especially, Magento Live was more than just an event. Being recognized as a top contributor, Mr. Rakesh Jesadiya, technocrat of the company’s team was felicitated during the event in front of the entire community out there. Such rewards do wonders and for an organization like ours, this aspires us to come up with even better talent and solutions worldwide.
Other planned sessions were conducted as per schedule, and in one of them, Max Yehaterynenko, Director, Community Engineering, Magento Commerce, provided tips to the audience regarding Magento migration from 1 to 2, migration from community edition to enterprise edition and also the best practices to be followed while Magento migrations.
Other impeccable personality to contribute was Jason Woosley, who provided information about the upcoming Magento 2.2 release, technical aspects related to it, its offerings and ways to power businesses online in the future. He also focused on the company’s recent acquisitions and plans to expand its market share worldwide. Mr. Ben Marks, Evangelist, showed results analyzed by the Magento Business Intelligence team for driving online growth.
The event concluded with the general Q&A session with the speakers. Magento live, India, was an amazing present to the entire community. An opportunity to share the room with the people like Talesh Seeparsen, Sherrie Rhode, Mark Lavelle, Jason Woosley and other notable professionals and to discuss solutions face to face was no less than an enthralling experience. Looking at the response and its successful completion, the Global Magento Team promised to be back with an even bigger event in 2018.
