It’s hard to believe it’s already been a week since our team touched down in Las Vegas for Magento Imagine 2014! And what an experience it was! This year 1900 attendants from over 40 countries took over the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for 3 amazing days of networking, collaborating, and knowledge sharing with the global Magento community. Our team set up a booth in the marketplace along with 100 other sponsors and had the opportunity to meet with people from all over the world. Surprisingly we got overwhelming responses from merchants, agencies, and Magento partners.
It was a truly amazing time, and we loved every moment! We especially enjoyed talking to new merchants about the endless possibilities on Magento and meeting up with the new industry and hosting partners like Zerolag, appserver.io, Constant Contact, eBizMarts|POS, Postcode Anywhere, WebShopApps, LiveClicker, Magestore, Oink, Skrill, and Yotpo. Although we enjoyed all of the keynotes, some of our favorites were Mark Lavelle – SVP of Product &Strategy, eBay Inc., and Malcolm Gladwell – bestselling author.
In the event, Magento has established itself as the leader in eCommerce with a 30% market share. Some of the major announcements this year were the release of Magento Community 1.9 and Magento Enterprise 1.14 with a responsive theme and Connected Commerce Solution from eBay.
