Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive automated testing frameworks that ensure the highest quality standards for our software products. You will play a pivotal role in driving our AI-based quality engineering initiatives while mentoring junior team members and contributing to our continuous improvement culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Framework Development & Maintenance using AI: Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks in Selenium, Appium, and Playwright MCP for web, mobile, and API testing
- Test Script Creation: Write comprehensive, maintainable, and efficient automated test scripts using Java and JavaScript programming languages
- Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and automation roadmaps
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and deployment
- Defect Management: Execute automated test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
- Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews for automation scripts and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Reporting & Metrics: Generate detailed test reports, maintain test metrics, and provide insights on quality trends and improvements
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior automation engineers, sharing best practices and technical expertise
- Tool Evaluation: Research and evaluate new AI automation tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency
What We’d Love To See
- 5+ years of total experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation
- Expert-level proficiency in automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Playwright
- Strong programming skills in Java or JavaScript with a solid understanding of OOP concepts
- Framework expertise in designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit)
- API testing experience using tools like REST Assured, Postman, or similar
- CI/CD knowledge with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
- Version control proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Database testing skills with SQL knowledge for data validation
- Cross-browser and cross-platform testing experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
It’d Be Great If You Had
- AI Automation experience (1-3 years) in implementing AI-driven testing solutions, test data generation, or intelligent test maintenance
- Performance testing experience with tools like JMeter
- Docker experience for containerized testing environments
- BDD/TDD methodologies experience with Cucumber or similar frameworks
- Mobile automation expertise with Appium or any other similar tools
- Security testing knowledge and experience with OWASP guidelines
- Test management tools proficiency (Jira, Zephyr)
- Agile/Scrum methodologies certification or extensive experience
- Leadership experience in mentoring teams or leading automation initiatives
