Total retail sales worldwide in 2023 are expected to come in at $30.3 trillion, with an annual increase of 4.5%. 2022 has been an opportunistic year for the retail industry, with new and innovative global doors opening up for their customers. The rise of AI, NFTs, and other such technologies has become a breakthrough for retailers. Industry flagbearers like the National Retail Federation have been working consistently towards acknowledging the changes and implementing them in the retail world with grand events and platforms.
The NRF Retail’s Big Show 2023 occurred from January 15th to January 17th, 2023, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. And this year’s agenda was all about innovation and bringing a change to the retail industry. As a leading retail industry leader, NRF successfully hosted 175+ sessions, 350+ speakers, and 950+ exhibitors this year with well-informed and proficient events!

As a proud and avid attendee at Retail’s Big Show 2023, Krish met some of the most talented innovators on the platform and had intriguing conversations with them. Our CBO, Marsha Naidoo, thoroughly enjoyed the talk by Jason Semon (Adobe), Greg Hamilton(Walmart), and Ramesh Somasundaram (Infosys) at the Infosys Booth.
With the retail industry welcoming new ideas and embracing the brewing talent all around the world, we also got the opportunity to meet Kayla Agostini, Nitu Walker, and Harrison Loveall from Adobe. In addition, our Chief Business Officer, Marsha Naidoo, discussed and helped brands discover their transformational potential and the disruptive eCommerce trends for 2023 and beyond.
This year, we had some of the best knowledge-sharing experiences. We gained insights from the legendary talks by Michael Gabay and Charlie J McWeeney on “Modernizing grocery: Computer vision-powered frictionless shopping and automated operations” using their tech.
We also got the chance to understand the process of composable commerce and how it works efficiently through the insightful session of Krithika Ganesamoorthi, Molly Langenstein, Faisal Masud, and Jay Topper. They explained how they could leverage AWS (Amazon Web Services) to deliver a seamless brand experience.
