Magento is a trailblazer in digital commerce, with a considerable number of followers and community members. And once annually, these ‘Magento-ites’ gather together to share knowledge, success stories, and insights to mold the current industry narrative to match a promising eCommerce future. These voices come together in the biggest and only dedicated Magento event in the States in a collaborative effort. Meet Magento, New York!
The Official #MM22NYC Theme
This year, the Magento community celebrated the theme ‘Breaking Barriers’ following an eventful agenda.
This year was exceptional and brought happiness for Krish to be organizing the iconic event in person after three years of virtual efforts due to pandemic restrictions. As a Magento professional partner, our team was elated to organize the annual conference with Adobe’s presence and support, other sponsors, technology partners, merchants and retailers, developers, solution providers, and Magento enthusiasts. The elaborate commerce fraternity came together under the luxurious roof of Pier 60, in the heart of Chelsea, New York, on the banks of the beautiful Hudson River.
We are glad to officially call #MM22NYC a success. And we are here for a quick recap, in case you missed it.
The #MM22NYC was special because of coming back in person after three years. The sponsors, speakers, and attendees had a happy buzz about meeting their known friends in the industry after a long time and forging meaningful relationships with peers.
The insight-driven day focussed on Magento, how it’s making a difference worldwide, and on all the happenings of the current eCommerce industry and technologies being the driving force behind the upcoming changes. The sessions were segregated into three tracks, business, solutions, and technical, and were handled effortlessly by Thien-Lan Weber(CMO, OneStepCheckout), Stephen Cohen(eCommerce Consultant, Dotdigital), Nitu Walker(Sales Enablement Evangelist, Adobe), and Jason Morrell(Senior Partnerships Manager, Commerce Services, Adobe). Here are some of the highlights.
Composable Commerce and its impact on your organization
The absolute highlight of the business track was an interactive session by Marion Freijson (Strategic Business Advisor, Commerce Strategy, EMEA, Adobe) and Ray Bogman (Sr. Global Software Support Manager, Adobe). They talked about composable commerce and its impact on businesses worldwide. Both speakers shared their side of insights into the world of composable and how companies can leverage the tech.
The key takeaway was the agility and flexibility of composable commerce and how it may disrupt the commerce landscape as we know it. Businesses can evolve at an exponential rate by implementing the set-up and taking advantage of collateral innovation in the long term. The audience was left spellbound by this exciting discussion, and many people showed interest in the game changer.
The Opening Keynote
Ritesh Somani, the Principal Product Manager at Adobe, delivered an amazing session emanating from his years of expertise and passion for digital commerce. He talked about Magento open source, Adobe Commerce, enterprise scale, out-of-the-box solutions, and Adobe Commerce performance testing, all in go. In addition, he presented some great numbers from Adobe Commerce. Thought-provoking indeed!
The Welcome and The Closing
Our beloved Marsha (Chief Business Officer- USA, Krish) officially called the event open in her elegant yet powerful style. She is one of the most valued people in the Magento community. It was indeed one of the highlights of the show. The house was packed, and one could witness the thrill on everyone’s face of attending the event in person after three years.
The closing vote of thanks was given by none other than the CEO and MD of Krish, Jiten Padmashali. He has seasoned himself for over two decades in the industry and reached the platform to host one of the most significant communities in the commerce world.
He was ecstatic to regard everyone who made it possible, from sponsors to speakers, attendees, and the people working behind the curtains, the organizing team.
The discussions at #MM22NYC revolved around a plethora of other relevant industry trends and technologies including augmented reality, digital transformation, intelligent commerce, payment optimizations, customer journey and customer satisfaction, code security, omnichannel retailing, core web vitals, PWA, and more. The day was made even more interesting by two-panel discussions, around Magento fitting into the SaaS era and the importance of modern and flexible infrastructure.
Being the proud headline sponsor, it was a proud moment for us to see the event unfold successfully. Our team at the #MM22NYC was amazed by the heartwarming response and is excited about future collaborative efforts, which had bud during the event.
Everyone at #MM22NYC understood the assignment!
From the scintillating pre-party to the rocking opening with the Brooklyn Band to the fantastic after-party, the community members were no less in celebrating #MM22NYC.
All thanks to Adobe, PayPal, Vertex, and Krish, these exclusive networking parties were made possible.
Just for now! Meet Magento New York will be back next year with the same zeal and excitement. Till then, thank you, everyone, for making Meet Magento New York 2022 a flourishing success.
