As most of you will know, Hybris commerce is the promising new platform for eCommerce enthusiasts. So far this platform has received a promising response. Having been on the scene for some time now, the latest Hybris version 5.6 has been released on Aug 4, 2015.
This release now includes many enhancements for customers as well as eCommerce merchants on the hybris platform. Let us take a look at some of the key points that will mean a lot for the success of the platform in the future:
1. Enhanced ASM for B2B Accelerator
Now, you get the ability to integrate the enhanced assisted service module (ASM) capabilities with an add-on the the B2B accelerator. This allow you to decrease the amount of customization that is necessary to implement these features.
2. Back office Cockpit Management
Hybris is in the process of managing the migration of the Hybris management console (hMC) to the new cockpit NG framework. Furthermore, the SAP integration extensions can now be managed through the Back Office Cockpit. This migrates the administration tasks further from the Hybris management console.
3. Additional Support for Data Hub
Those who have worked with the Data Hub before will agree that one of the most difficult things that they have faced is about what is happening as the IDOCs are translated into the ImPEX files. Some developers had developed shell scripts to pull out the IDOC XML from the log files. However, this version now comes with the debugging capability, so the need for scrubbing log fines with shell scripts will probably diminish now.
4. Better Sync
The latest version includes the Hybris-2-Hybris Sync., which helps migrate from one environment to another and and can be accomplished with this sync. This was earlier accomplished by some developers by writing some cron jobs as well as ImpEX output scripts.
This version includes plenty of other features such as the unified B2B and B2C mobile application SDK. Many developers are enjoying the phenomenal success that Hybris is obtaining in recent times. Its just about time that eCommerce merchants become a member of the Hybris community so that even the toughest of business challenges can be met!
