They started from a small garage, working solely on trucks & cars in the era prior to the digital commerce. But having felt the need of keeping up with the pace of the internet, they thought of exploring ecommerce as an additional channel for scaling up their business. It was a great idea pitched in front of us and we as their technology partner thought of Magento community platform as a best fit for them. The real challenge was to offer ease to the visitors by enabling features like the kind of model of the auto part they were looking for, the year it was manufactured and the brand which built it.


The approach was to understand the business from its grassroots and interviews of the key stake holders and a tour of the production facility helped us to know CarVam from its nerves.

We formulated the concept of developing a simple user flow which consisted of resulting sitemap, wireframes and creatives. This resulted in a straight forward path which allowed consumers to browse through the products available for purchase. Then the design team efficiently worked on the store interface, making it responsive and in line with any device the customer would use. The backend team at the same time worked on the development as well as the Integration aspect of various solutions with the key systems.

  • Beginning with the home page, we implemented 2 distinct menus on it. Firstly Hamburger menu, which contained all the categories and top navigation menu being the second, with categories and respective banner image.
  • Other implementations include an advance filtering option allowing customers to browse through the products with much ease. The advance search enabled, also produced results of the products being searched detecting the key words being typed and also threw related content in the results in form of blog posts with the help of Sphinx powered search.
  • Other interesting options such as Shop by brands, best sellers, on sale products and many others were implemented to help the customer to get the best deal and best quality products which they are looking for.
  • Undertook the migration of the catalog from the earlier website to enable the existing customers to locate the product.
  • Seamless integration via M2ePro to list the products on key platforms such as eBay, Amazon and Rakuten. M2epro also powered the import & integration of orders placed from ebay, Amazon and Rakuten to the newly build digital store
  • Easy and fast yet secure one step checkout process allowing customers to place the order with minimum details required.
  • We also implemented the Personalization function for car mats with the help of LLYOD product configurator API, which allowed customers to choose from preferred cars and then purchase the respective mats based on their needs.
  • The marketplace owner can manage the activities from an intuitive admin panel interface.
  • Installed an A-Z Brand directory page with brand logo & name. A special feature was also added to it, where when the customer clicked on any alphabet, the entire list of the products limiting to that particular brand were visible thereafter.
